The dirty little secret of poor treatment to QMEs if finally making it to the mainstream. In a recent meeting, Medical Unit Manager Suzanne Honor, told the audience of adjusters "Pay the QMEs on time. This really irritates the snot out of me," Honor said. "Pay the med-legal bills for God's sake. What is wrong with you? A lot of time it's your own doctor who hasn't been paid."
Up until now the response following complaint about QME abuse was "That is what the WCAB is for".
